Notes from 2019 'AGM'

Gentlemen, notes from the ‘post’ golf meeting held as the AGM (agreed as we had the majority in attendance).

1. Mark agreed to be the ‘playing card’ holder for 2019.  Unfortunately, no-one objected!

2. Frank kindly agreed to remain in-post until we meet at the first awayday and Graham kindly agreed to assist with the website/scoring and ‘stuff’

3. Although the monthly financial commitment was to remain at £40 + £2 for prizes, we did agree to go to £42.50 on occasion (due to the general inflation increases).  Any changes to the norm will be notified to the group as soon as possible

4. Rules for awaydays:

• a. Play to the rules of golf (awayday scorecards to be submitted to the DPGC website) 
• b. Prizes:
• b.i. Overall Best Stableford One third of the prize fund (+Trophy if not won before)
• b.ii. Best Stableford (Trophy) TOFs Trophy (dependant on the above) 
• b.iii. Nearest the Pin One third of the prize fund
• b.iv. Least number of Putts One third of the prize fund
• c. You can only win the TOFs Trophy once a year (Best stableford score off full handicap)
• d. Only one nearest the pin (on the easiest par 3)  This will negate the need for tape measures.  If no-one hits the green in regulation (an alleged TOFs speciality!) the prize money will roll over to the next awayday’s nearest the pin winner.
• e. Putting competition – to clarify:
• e.i. If you putt from off the green it is not counted as a putt
• e.ii. If you cannot score stableford points (blob) you can still putt.  This must be from the furthest point on the green from the hole (to be agreed with your playing partners)   

5. Payment - I’m not intending to take money from anyone in advance of the awaydays but, I would ask that you continue to indicate your intention to attend on the TOFs website.  For those that are going, please pay the full amount at least 2 weeks prior to the event into the following account:

6. Golf Shirt - We had a discussion about a TOFs golf shirt.  The cost of a Footjoy Polo Shirt with the DPGC Logo and ‘TOFs Golf Society’ embroidered across the top will cost £36.50 per item (light blue being the colour of choice).  We are looking at alternatives, but in the meantime, I will bring a sample of the shirt from JD Academy next Tue.
