With most of us having endured very heavy rain and thunder on Monday night and with the weather forecast predicting possible rain around mid-day Tuesday, 19 of us travelled to Broome Manor, Swindon for June’s Away Day. Fortunately, the weather Gods were very kind and we enjoyed a day of sunshine, little breeze and a very well kept golf course.
As last months Away Day winner Malcolm Peck provided the Tipple on the Tee, so filled with the
traditional bacon roll, we set off to conquer the challenges ahead.

Malcolm Peck won last months overall stableford and lowest putts and he added to his tally of prizes winning today’s NTP competition.
Lee also showed his golfing ability by winning the Least Number of Putts with only 28.
The challenges of golf also showed itself with Brian Wray winning a bottle of wine for making most
use of the course. Brian had earlier picked up a prize for 2 #nd place for last months Super 6 best gross.
What a strange game we play.
