Sherfield Oaks AwayDay - 24th May 2022

The Tipple on the Tee

After Arthur’s warming tipple, seventeen of us endured rain, hail and some very inhospitable rough on the front nine, with sunshine and more inhospitable rough on the back nine. Thank god for the TOF's two stroke penalty rule or I think I’d still be out there searching for my four lost balls.

The hospitality back at the clubhouse was as good as the rough was bad with steak pie and chips to go with the free pint. However, my suggestion to the lovely Julie that she swaps a day with our lovely Ian did not get a positive response.

Despite the rough there was number of scores in the high thirties, but only one in the forties – the masterful Graham Plested with 41 and he also took the putting prize.

Terry Rapple, a wizard with the short irons walked away with the Nearest the Pin prize and Graham Harding played the Most Golf and took home a bottle of chardy for his troubles.

Graham Plested - TOFS Trophy and Lowest Putts
Terry Rapple - Nearest the Pin Winner
Graham Harding - Most Golf Played
